IMLS | CIRLA Meeting and Workshop Materials

The CIRLA Fellows Program is a collaboration between the CIRLA member libraries and the Association of Research Libraries. Partial funding is made possible through a new grant opportunity from IMLS, the Institute of Museum and Library Services. The grant category, Librarians for the 21st Century, awarded nearly $10 million in inaugural grants to 27 libraries and library schools to address the increasing demand for librarians, and the increased need to diversify the profession.

CIRLA, the Chesapeake Information and Research Library Alliance is a not-for-profit organization of educational and research institutions in Delaware, the District of Columbia, and Maryland, committed to the education and research at member institutions through collaborative development of library collections and service programs and expanding use of information technology.

The CIRLA Libraries include:

George Washington University National Agricultural Library
Georgetown University Smithsonian Institution
Howard University University of Delaware
Johns Hopkins University University of Maryland
Library of Congress
